⭐ ABOUT FREERIDE
Founder’s experience with homelessness
FreeRide was born from a personal truth:
I know exactly what it feels like to not have enough money to move through your own city.
Before building this, I went through periods of homelessness and financial struggle.
There were days I couldn’t afford a train ticket or a bus ride.
Days where missing €3 meant missing school, missing work, missing opportunities.
Days where moving from A to B felt like a luxury other people had access to — but I didn’t.
And I know I’m not the only one.
FreeRide exists because mobility should never decide someone’s future.
No one should risk fines, miss appointments, skip job interviews, or walk hours in the cold
simply because they are going through a difficult moment in life.
So we built a system where people ride for free —
and brands pay for it through high-visibility, citywide bike advertising.
Every bike becomes a moving billboard that funds real mobility for real people, every single day.
For advertisers, it’s a premium, human-scale media channel that lives inside daily life.
For riders, it’s freedom: €0 unlock fees, €0 subscriptions, €0 barriers.
For cities, it’s cleaner air, equal access, and a model that supports everyone — not just those who can afford it.
FreeRide is more than bikes.
It’s a promise:
No matter where you come from, you deserve the ability to move forward.
And sometimes, the difference between staying stuck and moving ahead…
is simply having access to a bike.
